Valentine Heart

 The glass we used is for the hearts is called spotlite, but they would look good in many different textured glasses.

For the heart on the right we used neat little pressed glass hearts  (available on our featured supplies pages) and attached them with clear silicone caulk.  You can also attach them with e-6000.  As an alternative, you can cut little hearts from sheet copper foil, build a bit of solder on them, then give them a bright copper patina. The large hearts are wrapped with Venture scalloped foil (enough for three hearts is included with the pressed hearts) which has been edge beaded to build up a nice 3-d scalloped edge. 

If you have difficulty cutting your way into the "notch" on the top of the heart, use the small top bit on a grinder and grind it out.

Patriotic Heart

This heart looks great with cathedral glass for the red and blue and either ground glass or Youghiougheny Ice White.

For the stars you can create an overlay using copper foil tinned with solder or use cast glass stars (available on our featured supplies pages) as we did.  Because the stars are clear, we used Venture BriteBak back foil behind them (included with the stars) so they look white rather than blue when glued onto the blue field.
