Table FoilerThe Table Foiler is the probably easiest "automatic" foiling tool available. No user input is required to center the foil. Just place your piece on the table and rotate it through the rollers, that's all there is to it! The table foiler not only applies the foil but begins the crimping job for you. Just finish by burnishing flat and you're ready to solder. Works on the three most popular foil sizes, 3/16", 7/32" and 1/4".

GlaStar Hand Foiler 3/16Hand held foiling tool. The foil feeds throught the handle and is applied by a roller in the front of the tool. The tools centering is not totally automatic and so requires user attention and a good eye to get the best results. You need to buy a different tool for each size foil you plan to use. I used these for a couple of years and they saved me quite a bit of time. Then I just went back to foiling by hand, but don't really know why.

GlaStar Foil CrimperOK, here's a tool I really like. It can simultaneously fold your foil over the edges and burnish them flat on both front and back sides! It is not for everyone however, you need to have some dexterity and a bit of tool savvy. Some tips: First run a finger firmly over the foiled pieces edges to start rounding the foil over before using the tool. Let the tool operate at it's built-in angle, (somewhere about 35 degrees?) If you press it all the way onto a piece of glass it will find the correct angle. You can squeeze on the sides of the tool to increase the burnishing pressure.
