Toyo Custom Grip Cutter - GlassCutters

Toyo Custom Grip Cutter

(aka "Tap Wheel Cutter", Oil fillable)

O.K., if you pressed us to make a second choice in the cutter pageant, this is the one. While I truly prefer the grip of the Thomas to this one, it is not at all bad, and it is convertible! It comes with two different hand rests that you can swap or turn upside down and a spacer that can be moved above or below the protruding rest. This gives you many possible combinations.

The best part about this cutter, however is that it represents the first real advance in actual glass cutting technology in as long as I've been in the business!

The "Tap Wheel" cutter uses a new technology that causes the cutter wheel to vibrate driving the score deeper into the glass improving your chances of success.

Fletcher Standard Ball End Cutter - GlassCutters

Fletcher Standard Ball End Cutter

This is the "old standby. In the "olden days" it was pretty much the only show in town.

It's a bit hard on your wrist if you work a lot, but still gets the job done!

Toyo Pistol Grip Cutter - GlassCutters

Toyo Pistol Grip Cutter

Toyo Pistol Grip Cutter

(Oil fillable)
The pistol grip is probably my least favorite cutter, but we get people in here who swear by them. If you read the description of the Thomas Grip Cutter at the top of this page, it includes an abbreviated version of my little tirade about the pistol grip. That said, if you've been using pistols and are happy with them, we won't think any the less of you if you order one!
