Stained glass can provide total privacy or none at all. Glass can let light pass directly through, diffuse, soften or reduce it. Custom stained glass can be made to blend in with any surrounding (from modern to traditional or even Victorian) or stand out on its' own. You can use it to divide a space or to open one up.
A stained glass window can change your view of the world... or frame it!
- When you come to Dodge Studio you get the advantage of over 45 years of stained glass experience. We can help you every step of the way to ensure that you get just the right glasswork for your needs.
- It all starts with a look around the showroom to see the quality of the work and the way different glasses can work together. From there, look through photos of other work the studio has produced to help you get ideas. Also available is a wide variety of design books.
- Once you have gotten a few ideas we can usually draw up sketches on the spot, incorporating the best ideas from your input. This can include motifs drawn from fabric samples or wallpaper swatches.
- Once a design has been arrived at, it is time to begin the glass selection process. We have over 700 unique and interesting types of glass in stock to suit any need. We will lead you through the process of selecting the perfect glasses to enhance your design and produce the desired effect. Although the number of glass choices can seem daunting, through years of experience with hundreds of successful projects, we have learned how to make it simple, ensuring you will get just what you want.
- Your design can be fabricated in the traditional lead came method or the newer, finer lined "tiffany technique" developed by Louis Tiffany around the turn of the century. (We'll help you decide which is right for your project.) Either way you can rest assured that our years of experience will deliver a product that is properly reinforced to last a lifetime. If you opt for the Tiffany construction you can choose between several metal finishes including copper and pewter.
