HI Sharon,

There are all kinds of adhesives that will work. You can use silicone caulk or regular tile mastic, but try to get the white colored kind so it doesn't create a dark influence that will show through your glass.

As for the method of applying the design, if you lay it out on contact paper face down, you can easily apply mastic to the whole area and just press the glass into place. (Let the mastic dry before removing the contact paper). If you apply the glass pieces one at a time, you'll have to first transfer the design to the wall, then make sure that you can see it through your glue, or butter one piece of glass with mastic at a time and press them into place.

: Personally I would put the glass up just like you do tile, butter it and place it on the wall. Make sure your wall is as perfectly smooth as possible. Are you using transparent or opaque glass?

: : I am making a stained glass picture for a back splash in my kitchen. This will have grout between each piece of glass.I was told to cut my glass-place it back on the pattern-use a clear adhesive over it to hold it to glue to the wall.IS this a good method or should I glue each piece in individually? What kind of glue would you use to glue glass to drywall?
