My wife is making a large window for a convent. It's arch shaped and 27 feet by 4 1/4 feet at the center. There are 7 panels with 2" dividers mostly art glass in pastel colors. It goes on an interior wall so an enclosure will be built to contain and backlight it. We're planning for the enclosure to be 12" deep and the window will be backed with white plexiglass to diffuse the light. The question is, how much lighting will be needed? We'll be using flourescent natural light bulbs. At the moment we are thinking that two double bulb fixtures per panel would work. But is this too much light? Your opinions will be appreciated.

Thanks.
