: I have a chance to buy glass wholesale, and all it would be would be $50.00 for the sale taxs, license and I would have to buy $250.00 whenI bought the glass. I am only doing stain glass as a hobby, do you think this is a good idea or should I just buy the one foot square foot. My question is do you really save when you buy big sheets of glass like that. Is it really wise to by wholesale.

I would suggest you go to your local Stained Glass Shop and tell them you are willing to spend $250 and ask if they would give you a discount. Most retailers (not Home Depot) would value your patronage. Not only do you get to hand pick the colors you want, you get the amount you want. As Vic said yeah you can get a good deal but if you are sitting on that same glass for a few years where is the deal.
