Thanks!

: Hi Matt,

: If you were doing the project in tiffany I'd recommend that you pre-assemble the bevels, but in lead came that is likely to complicate your leading job and I don't recommend it.

: Frequently clusters come with a cartoon of the cluster that you can incorporate in your design. If so, just lay the bevels out on the cartoon to make sure that it is accurate, (sometimes they scarcely resemble the real bevels) and that they have left and allowance for the heart of your cames. If everything is good, you can just tape the cartoon down in the proper position and design around it.

: If they did not provide you with a cartoon, what I'd do is lay out the bevel cluster, carefully allowing space between the bevels for your came. Then I'd trace around the bevels to create a cartoon. When you cut the pattern up with your pattern shears you need to remember to cut outside the line around the perimeter of the cluster rather than on the line as you usually would, since the cluster is already cut and the allowance for the heart must be fully outside of the cluster design.

: : I recently purchased a bevel kit and am having a hard time figuring out how to start my project. I have created a pattern around the bevels and am ready to cut it out with my pattern shears. The problem is that I am not sure what to do with the bevels. Should I just trace around each and the cut them out with regular scissors? How do I compensate for the lead channel space between each bevel? Should I lead up the bevels then do the rest of the project?

: : I am stuck.

: : Thanks,
