In short, copper foil is pretty much always the stronger of the two but lead came is better at tolerating extreme changes in temperature that a window must endure.

If there is to be glazing on the outside and a controlled climate inside I'd say go with the foil. If the window is to be exposed directly to extreme conditions you may prefer to go with the came, but you should probably have three rebars to help support the window.

: I am making sidelights for my sister's condo that are 4 feet high and 10 1/2 inches wide. I have never made anything this large. What would be stronger, lead or foil? Thanks
