Hi Linda,

Despite Pat's experience with came, I think most hobbyists find it somewhat more difficult than foil. There is a lot more to know as well, in terms of structure and reinforcement as well as special techniques that are sometimes used, like nesting cames within one another where a series of curved pieces intersect.
In came work you need to pay a lot more attention to the cartoon work before you get started and are not as easily able to "wing it" and make changes on the fly as in foil.

: Hi,
: It is really easier and less precise than copper foil. Go to the link below and read up on it. If you worked with foil you can do this with no problem.

: : I am looking for a little insight on how to use lead came. It looks so easy is there much to using it? Do you use foil under it? I'm just a novice but need to learn more!
