Hi Jo,

Truthfully this is the first time I've thought about doing this one as a came project.

After breif consideration I don't see any obvious problems with it. In general copper foil is the superior method for 3-d projects. The material is much more rigid and holds together without any serious engineering concerns for most work.

If you should try to tackle it in came you'll need to pay particular attention to diagonal bracing of the entire structure and how the weight of the piece is distributed to the legs. Are you creating lateral forces that will in time cause the cames to stretch and pull off? If you are not up to examining and solving these issues I would not recommend that you do it in came. (Besides, copper foil is fun, give it a try!)

: Gary, can the shooting stars project (Item U-1 I believe)
: is this a copper foil only project? Could it be done with lead came?? I haven't done copper foil yet.

: Thank you.
