Keeping patterns in place

This isn't a question, but thought this may help someone. When I am at the point of cutting the glass, grinding and matching to the pattern I will tape a copy of the pattern to my tabletop in my work area. I will then cut a piece of clear, non textured contact paper large enough to cover the entire pattern and tape it sticky side up over the pattern. This way I can place the pieces on the pattern and never have to worry about them moving or being bumped out of place. The adhesive from the contact paper does not stick to the glass. It has helped me so much when working on a copper foiled piece. I can tack solder the piece in a flash after making sure the pieces are snug up against each other because they will be held in place by the contact paper. I find Rubbermaid contact paper works best for me.
Thanks for this posting site. It certainly has helped with some questions I've had over the years!
