We have owned DiamondCRETE for about 18 months in this time frame there has been a lot of time and energy put into testing DiamondCRETE and here are some of the high points as I see them. It is very important to have the DiamondCRETE be in the mold in 5 minutes or less from the time the DiamondCRETE and water come together. Also the darker the color the more water it will take the 2 ozs. per cup of DiamondCRETE is just a rule of thumb. You want it to be like a thick milk shake or if using DiamondCRETE as a grout it needs to be like a very thick shake. If you are measuring by weight water should be between 12 and 13 percent to DiamondCRETE.
DiamondCRETE get its strength from the energy put into it at time of mixing. We are suggesting to everyone to use a kitchen mixer or drill with a mortar mixing bit and a drill speed of 1250 RPM works best. This also takes the work out of it and makes it more fun to do.
We are coming out with a new formula soon that will take less water, be smoother and stronger. Also we will have our own sealer out called DiamondSEAL that will adhere to the gypsum that has been the problem with so many other sealers.
You might like to take a look at the February issue of the Glass Craftman on the Tiger Spot at the U. of Missouri by Paul Jackson. It is 30 feet in dia. and has 190,000 pieces of 1/4x1/4x1/2" tiles from Italy and was grouted with DiamondCRETE. Out of the products tested DiamondCRETE was the only one that passed all the tests for the building permit.
Thank you for your time.
