Hi Deb,

I'm not sure what kind of mirror you are trying to hang but the bottom line is to be sure you have adequate support.

The one fatal mistake that people make is just soldering a loop somewhere. You need to be sure that what you solder to is strong enough to support the weight. If you have a ten pound piece (quite large) you could solder picture wire down a seam for 6 or even 10 inches and over time see the weight tear the underlying copper foil and the mirror will fall. Advance planning is necessary and a seam that will be used for attachment might best be done with brass channel for strength. Then a solid 1/8" brass rod with a loop bent into it soldered down the entire length of the brass channel seam to create an attachment point.

This may seem excessive, but time and gravity are powerful foes and need to be dealt with sternly.
Of course, not every mirror is even close to 10 pounds but you need to carefully think out your support or your products may fail.

: Do I need sprung mirror clips or can I solder on some rings and hang it that way. Please help.
