Hi Diane,

I'm not sure if I understand your description. Are these the nightlights that are sold at many stained glass shops that come with a removable brass clip? (There are two types of clips. Spring tension and others that are held on with a screw and nut.)
If so, you need to remove the clip to work with it. There is a flat piece that measures about 1/4" by 1" that is the place to attach the stained glass. You can just solder it on flat, in which case it may make a prominent shadow, or you can bend it into a concave shape so that only the tips contact the glass at solder lines and light can enter behind the clip.
If you attempt this you need to be sure that you have your soldering technique up to snuff because you need to create a strong solder joint that is quite beefy to ensure that you just don't wind up with the foil tearing away and your piece failing.

: I'm hoping you can help me. I'm trying to put some nightlights together for a different kind of project and I have the nightlight assembly, but how do you attach the stainglass to it, so it's strong and sturdy?

: On the assembly, the part that is screwed on the back of the bracket is a flat part, not sure which way it goes?

: If you could help me with this, that would be great.

: Thanks
: Diane
: p.s., would you also have any stainglass patterns for night lights?
