Hi Chris,

We have always used a wooden "L" jig that we set up on a board. Just use that carpenters square of yours to lay two pieces of 1 by 2 wood stock out into a square corner that you can hold your glass against the inside of while you tack the sides. You can even make a small square block to place on the inside to hold your glass against the wood stock. (Hard to convey this without pictures but if you search the help desk and tips archives I think I have illustrations of similar jigs.)

Anyhow, if you want to take this to the next level, there is a neat little toy called "The Professional Boxer" It is a nicely thought out enhanced version of the setup I was trying to convey above, all done up nice in really heavy lucite plastic.

It sells for about $30.00, not cheap, but does a nice job.

: I am going bonkers trying to get my candle shelters square. How do you do it? I have tried using a carpenters square...didn't work . Then I tried that thing for stained glass boxes ..don't know what it's called it's yellow and looks like a sputnik. Anyway that was more of a hassel than a help. Can anyone help me?
