I am making a 68.5" X 14.5" transom window panel, to be hung in front of a north picture window. I might use bevel cluster(s). The entire piece will be framed in zinc came to which hanging loops will be soldered. What is the criteria (design features, size of individual glass pieces, etc.) for determining which is more appropriate - lead came or copper foil? Should I be planning on including vertical reinforcements at the 1/3 and 2/3 marks? Should hanging loops be soldered at these points as well as at the ends?
