The danger isn't from lead fumes, (no such animal) it's from FLUX fumes and that isn't lead poisoning. You'll really only have the danger of lead poisoning if you chew on the solder, so keep toothpicks in the shop instead.
Flux fumes are the real killer and you need to vent them outside or use a decent HEPA charcoal filter. Failure to do so WILL lead to lung and tissue damage eventually.
