I use the glue sticks you get a Wal-mart.
For difficult shapes that take careful grinding or wire saw cutting, I cut along the edge as exactly as possible, then I thinly wipe with vasoline using a flux brush.
Then use the wire saw to cut, or just the grinder.
If I must use the wire saw, I first grind around the edges to protect my fingers as I push or direct the glass under the wire saw.
This keeps the paper protected for any type of wire saw cutting or grinding & gives great exactness in your pieces.
