Rosanne You might want to go over to the Warm Glass bulletin board with your fusing questions. Lots of experts there.

I'm just getting started with fusing so I can't answer your mold question (I've only used clay molds) but as to using regular glass....well, you MIGHT get away with using same to same...that is, parts of the same sheet. There are differences many times, even with the same manufacturer's product from one sheet to another. Only way to tell is to fuse some together and check it with a polarized filter or a Polariscope. I have a truckload of Spectrum regular glass, but it's confusing enough to learn the logic of fusing without adding another variable to it. I'm sticking with the fusible System 96 and later will try the BE 90. Too much trouble to keep both systems in the beginning...also takes a lot of space keeping them separate.

: Hi, I just bought a kiln for glass fusing and slumping and am in the experimental phase, do you have to buy 96 or 90 glass (so expensive) or can I try to fuse spectrum cathedral glass together. Any suggestions for getting glass off my stainless steel mold? It's fused on. Thanks
