Hi there, I'm fairly new to this, but now on my fourth project (a lamp). I continue to have problems with patina (copper). I find that after I apply it it turns dull and if I polish it, it disappears. I've been applying it with a Q-tip (as instructed at my local glass store). I tried it with a cloth, but no better results. And I've been cleaning the seams really thoroughly before applying. Have I missed something?
