While the oil bath would probably do no harm to the glastar disk grinder itself, it might well shorten the life of the disk because I doubt that it will dissipate heat as well as water. Probably slow down grinding too since it doesn't flow as easily as water, having a larger molecular structure, and may not clear out the glass dust from the tiny spaces in the diamond grit as well.

For use in the Taurus II, I think there is a good chance that the oil would cause the belt to degrade rapidly.

There is some chance that it would attack the plastic housing of either machine.

Unless you can afford a new machine I would not recommend it.
