Hi Lorelei,

When working with bevels and foil I usually actually solder the entire cluster together (on the front side only) before designing the rest of the panel.
Another thing to keep in mind with bevels if you are using foil, is that because of the angle on the beveled face of each piece you need to center your foil differently. If you center the foil evenly you will see the foil on the back side through your bevel.

You need to allow the foil to come a bit wider on the front and it will appear even.

accually allow more foil to come : . Do use foil and solder on the bevels?

: Yes of course. If you'd rather do the piece in lead came, you can do that too.

: Would love any information and/or tips on working with bevels.
: : Thank you.

: Always pre-fit your bevels. They are seldom *exactly* right and oftentimes need a little grinding to make them perfect. Also, before I foil any of my bevels, and I work with a lot of them, I always run them lightly over the grinder. If you don't, sometimes the foil will not adhere as well as you'd like. Just gently run them across the bit.

: Remember this as well- bevels are softer than other normal glass and will scratch much easier. Take care when grinding or handling.

: Best of Luck.

: L.
