Gryphon Blues - Poor Design Woes - Help!

Hi,
I have a Gryphon Wire Saw & have been very disappointed in:

The water drip - it is adjusted by a poorly designed round plastic knob that is hard to turn with wet fingers. It has also gotten tough to turn & I can see the day it breaks off becasue it is just plastic...

AND I can't get a steady lite drip of water out of the tube... I keep getting white glass buildup as I cut, or I get flooded.

I am regretting buying it. Do you have any counsel to help my problems with these two poor designs?
