I have been using DFS for a few months. I have tried the version that "auto traces". If you have a picture that is black line only is works fine. If there is color or a lot of detail the program can't trace it. I find that tracing the pictures myself, using the drawing selections works best. I also have pattern wizzard and rapid resizer. For the money, I prefer those two over DFS.

: : Are you saying that you can take a photo jpeg from your desktop and convert it into a lined pattern for s/g?? That would be super, but I didn't think there was a program that could do that.

:
: In GlassEye, you import the picture as a background and then use the program to draw the pattern over the top of that background picture. The program doesn't actually convert the picture, you have to draw the pattern using the picture as a guide.

: They just released a version with an auto trace fuction though. The auto trace feature will automatically trace a pattern from a line drawing. It will not work from a colored picture. But this feature is only available on the pro plus edition.
