I am restoring some lead came pieces and want to know the best way to clean it in order to apply patina. I was told that older pieces of lead came was covered with linseed oil. If that is true does anybody have advice on how to clean the came? I have been wire brushing it with a dremel tool but am a bit afraid of creating lead dust. Any suggestions?
