Little to air will exchange by not caulking the inside. If the 2 glazings touch then the air can not circulate. It just stays put. As I said you need a space of 1/2" to 1" between the 2 glazings and holes are needed at the top and the bottom of the window on the inside for heat and mosture to escape.
