What type of saw are you using and what shapes are you trying to cut?

If you are trying to cut stuff that is extremely skinny it just may be beyond the tolerance of the material (glass).

If you have a variable speed saw you should try cutting at a slower speed. With some glasses more than others, there is a tendency to heat up faster than the water can cool the glass. Certainly if you are seeing a red glow at the point of blade contact you need to run the saw slower.

If this does not answer your questions give me more details of exactly how and when the glass breaks.

: My glass band saw keeps breaking the glass. The top guide is .25 inch from glass, the water is on the blade, and it still breaks. Any hints?
