Home Stained Glass Classes Beginner Classes

The beginner class covers all the basics of the Tiffany method of stained glass construction (copper foil technique).

Over the course of five sessions beginners will learn as they complete a Tiffany type stained glass panel of their choice from 5 geometric designs provided.

The class fee of $225 includes the use of our tools and all supplies needed.

Completion of the beginner projects typically takes 5 sessions but some students finish in 4, others can take 6 or more sessions to finish.  Everybody gets the time they need to finish.

Here are just 2 of the 5 designs you may choose to make.

Classes are ongoing and attendance is flexible.   You have 7 weeks to complete a five week session.  If you have not used up your five classes within that time you will lose any remaining classes.  We appreciate advance notice of an upcoming class skip if possible.

Intermediate Classes

Intermediate class allows students to practice what they have learned and expand their skill set at their own rate.  You will be allowed to head in whatever direction you choose, window construction, lead came technique, boxes, mosaics, glass fusing, lamp making...whatever your heart desires.

The intermediate class fee is $100 for five sessions.  Materials are not included.   Just buy what you need for your project. Intermediates must own their own glass cutter and (when they’re ready to solder, a soldering iron.) The studio grinders and various hand tools are available for use.

Intermediate class is held concurrently with the beginner class.

Fusing is part of the intermediate class.  In addition to the usual supplies needed for intermediate projects fusers will need to pay for each firing of the kiln on their behalf.  The cost to fire is $10 and some projects will require multiple firings.
