HELP--drilling holes in glass is killing me!

I cant believe it takes forever to drill a hole in glass. What is the fastest way to do this? I am making a windchime with 2 holes in each piece of glass and at the rate I am moving it will take a month just to drill the holes I need. There has to be a faster way.
What speed drill should I be using? I am using diamond drills in a cordless. Are certain types of glass harder to drill than others?
